June 4th, 2011. Dan Dixon travelled to Long Beach, California to compete in the worlds largest and most prestigious Jiu Jitsu tornament, the IBJJF World Jiu Jitsu Championships. Although Dan did not win, he feels he gained a wealth of experience from this event that he can bring back to his students. He also visited "The Garage", Chris Haueter's gym and worked out with Jiu Jitsu players from all over the world. Special thanks to Coaches Chance Wanlass for his coaching, and for flying to NJ from California to help Sensei Dan prepare for the tournament. We learned a lot from his visit.

November 12th, 2011. Dan Dixon was awarded his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by his coach Chance Wanlass and Chris Haueter.
" I am honored and humbled to be Chance Wanlass' first Blackbelt. Chance and Chris are amazing coaches, inspirational leaders and have become good friends. In my ten years of training, I have not met any two individuals who better exemplify what it means to be BJJ Blackbelts. It was by luck that I met them, and never have I been so lucky before. Thank you for your support and inspiration and for seeing the potential inside of me. I hope to always make you as proud of me as I am of you guys. Thank you!" Dan Dixon
After Dan Dixon was promoted, he quickly made his very first promotion which was to a long time student Marcos Batista, awarding him a purple belt.
About 60 guests attended the ceremony and afterwards enjoyed refreshments as members celebrated Impact's 5 year anniversary of being in business.
" I want to thank all of our members, past and present, for supporting us these past five years. It is because of you that we are here and can continue to provide superior martial arts and fitness training to this area. Thank you all! Dan Dixon
