At 2:30pm Saturday, November, 12th, 2011, Impact Fitness and Martial Arts will be hosting an open house celebrating its five year anniversary. Join Impact owners, Dan and Tara Dixon, in celebrating five years of providing superior martial arts and fitness training to adults and children in the Cumberland County area.
Dan Dixon, who has been training in martial arts for 10 years will receive his Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This is quite an accomplishment, since there are only a handful of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blackbelts in all of South Jersey. This will make Sensei Dixon the only martial artist in Cumberland County and one of the very few martial artists in all of South Jersey to hold a Black Belt in both Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Becoming a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is no easy accomplishment. Minimum age to become a blackbelt is 19 and practitioners generally train 8-10 years to earn a black belt.
Sensei Dixon’s coaches will be flying in from Los Angeles, California. Chris Haueter, a 5th degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black belt, is the highest ranking American Black Belt. Joining him will be Chance Wanlass, a BJJ Blackbelt, and one of Chris’ most talented instructors.
Following the promotion, we will be serving sandwiches and refreshments.
